GKIDS to release British souls selected by Annecy “100 meters” in cinemas

The long-awaited “100-meter” animated film that will arrive in North American cinemas in October, courtesy of the manufacturer-prisoner GKIDS. The film, selected by the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, is a new work by director Kenji Iwaisawa, known for his acclaimed independent film, “On-Gaku: Our Sound”.

Based on a manga of Uoto, “100 meters” tells the story of two rival stars, Togashi and Komiya. The theatrical race of the film will begin with an opening in Los Angeles on 10 October, followed by a national version from 12 to 14 October. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the film in a newly produced English nicknamed version.

The creative team of the film includes the designer of the character Keisuke Kojima, the artistic director Keikankun Yamaguchi, the screenwriter Yasuyuki Muto and the composer Hiroaki Tsutsumi. “100 meters” marks the second collaboration between Gkid and Iwaisawa, a partnership that has already been successful with the release of “On-Gaku: our sound”.
