Overwatch 2 “He has established” over 23,000 “actions” against cheaters after developing a new system to find and detect players using a mouse and a keyboard in the console lobby, a practice known as Ximming.
Although “adopted” does not necessarily mean that all 23,000 accounts are forbidden, Blizzard says that it brings the overall total forbidden accounts for more than 1m player.
“The new support of the mouse and keyboard will affect how the action users who previously used the overwhelming peripheral unit of the third party to gain the advantage of players in the controller pool,” explained Blizzard in Novi blog fast. “Bypassing set restrictions in this pool with irregular peripheral devices will be considered cheating and the actions will be taken in your account.
“Before that, we have implemented technology to help find and discover the players who used these peripheral devices on consoles. From that implementation, more than 23,000 actions against players were implemented. This included players who directly used irrevocably peripheral devices as well as players who grouped with these unjust advantages.”
Blizzard then admitted that he had to “adapt to new roundabouts”, but now he was ready to “take more aggressive actions against those trying to bypass the competitive integrity of our console players.”
“We have performed a new technology for Season 18, which should help us to use more reliability faster to use players using overwhelming peripheral devices,” the post added. “We also set sharp consequences on users of disapproval peripheral devices, since a legitimate opportunity to compete with mouse and keyboard on even playground is now available, whether you own a computer or console.”
Before that, the team would “warn and limit” all the offenders and send them to the PC pool, especially because of the cheaters playing at competitive levels above Diamond.
Now, however, “continuing the use of overwhelming peripheral devices in the controller’s pool will result in a complete ban of games regardless of rank or player mode”.
The recent action resulted in more than a million accounts for the game Overwatch 2. These include players used by Aimbote, Wallhacks and other cheaters, as well as those who grouped with famous cheaters.
“Although it is an effort to stop cheaters and cheaters using permanent effort, we want to repeat our commitment to ensuring the outcome of each Monitor Matching is determined by skill and passion, not through unjust advantages, “Blizzard added.
In addition to the stadium update, Overwatch 2 seasons 18 has introduced significant changes including heroes WuyangPharah, Winston and Brigitte, plus maps Route 66 and London, new games, new All-Star Awards, approval and more.
